Hockey Dad must be one the hardest working bands in Australia right now, but they took time out to be our ambassadors. We asked lead singer Zach Stephenson why:
Record stores are like a little sanctuary in a city where you know you’re always going to have a good time. There’s also something very relaxing and therapeutic about flicking through a pile of records. We love playing shows in record stores because the space is usually quite tight and intimate which is a nice feel! Can’t wait to hang at Music Farmers this record store day and hang out with friends, listen to live bands and probably pick up some beautiful wax.
They also have a Record Store Day double and this is a first: they are ambassadors in Australia and they have an official Record Store Day release in the US. That is an absolute first.
