Once again, Songland Records is collecting community donated records, CDs, CD singles, DVDs and cassette tapes to raise money for the dogs and cats waiting for their forever homes at the RSPCA in the ACT. How does it work? You donate, it’s all laid out instore on Record Store Day and EVERY CENT goes to buy treats for the dogs and cats. They don’t donate the cash to the home because that goes into ‘consolidated revenue’. So they have a deal with a local pet store to sell them treats at a huge discount and then they donate those treats to the home. So the dogs and cats directly benefit. Clever, hey. Plus lots of limited edition records, special buys, deal and discounts.
