Kate Bush was my teenage escapism from a strict classical musical home. Saw her..loved her. She took me to my first record shop. An amazing adventure. And there it was up on display….I happily handed over $16.99 of my collection of $1 & $2 notes that I had saved for a special day. The best feeling in the world as I bought my first record. I quickly walked the 5km back home. But was disappointed to see my father was home which meant I couldn’t listen to my Kate as no One was permitted to use his record player apart from him and my older sister and especially not for non classical music. Luckily the next morning my parents went out. I showed my sister my new album and begged her to play it for me….she agreed and the sound of Kate came to life on that Sunday morning. Even now The Kick Inside transports me to the first vinyl experience. Now this album is still my very very favourite . Who would have guessed. ππΆπΆππΆπΆππΆπΆ
