Basement Discs final line up: and it’s a huge party as usual

With Record Store Day Australia just around the corner, Basement Discs are gearing up for a huge day of celebrations! They’ve been working hard to bring you a stellar line-up for your listening pleasure and this year they’re making the artists’ sets a little longer to give them time to get into the groove, and to give the crowd ample time to dance/jive/clap/weep, whatever your gig going MO may be!

So far Basement Discs in store line-up includes Dan Sultan, hero of Australian blues, rock and soul, who will be beginning his Australia-wide ‘Killer’ Solo Tour. He’s set to perform a string of stripped back, intimate performances around the country and for Record Store Day this is a rare opportunity to see Dan perform at close-quarters.

An iconic, Melbourne favourite Harry James Angus, best known for his work with the Cat Empire, will be showcasing his new project, ‘Struggle With Glory’. It’s a performance that’s guaranteed to have you toe-tapping and shuffle-dancing to the sound of Harry’s iconic voice and old dented trumpet.

Next up on the bill is folk raconteur Jordie Lane, who will be joined on stage by his musical collaborator and fabulous fellow vocalist Clare Reynolds. The pair are headed to Nashville this year and Basement Discs are lucky enough to have them both in store for one of their last gigs in Australia.

Finally, anyone lucky enough to catch Amaya Laucirica and her band at the last Basement Discs in store will know why they wanted her to play Record Store Day. Amaya’s dreamy, atmospheric pop is a lush exploration of time, frustration, acceptance, loss and love.

Basement Discs will have the usual RSD Ltd. Ed. releases, music trivia quiz, give-aways, discounts, light refreshments (raising funds for RSPCA), and the fabulous RRR personalities Neil Rogers and Ian Bland performing mc duties – and hopefully they will be joined by the beautiful Brian Nankervis doing his regular cameo for RSD!
